Default Aluminum Driveshaft

Hey Guys I am new over here. I bought my wife a 2009 V6 due to the fact she never drove the GT we bought new, due to my modding it and "making it scary" (I see nothing wrong with her not driving it! )
Anyway I want to get rid of the boat anchor driveline, I am wondering what aluminum ones you are running. I have a dynotech on the GT, but I dont need that heavy of one on the V6.

Thanks

The Dynotech is supposed to be the primo one.

I have the 4" diameter Shaftmasters on mine. I'm happy with it.

it seems all the aluminum ones available are better than stock, but shaftmasters 4" is at $499 shipped right now, seems to be the best bang for the buck. if anyone knows of a less expensive one, i'd like to know.

I havnt made i ton of posts on here before but i just got back from the garage where i installed a dynotech that i bought used for $250 and it is AMAZING, my car is not lowered and that may be part of it but there is no vibration at all(up to 100mph at least, didnt go any faster yet). I know they are over $700 new and i think i got one heck of a deal but it was very simple and it makes a great difference.

What kind of gains can you expect from one if you don't mind me asking?

The aluminum drive shaft doesn't give you any more horsepower - what it does is allow you to use what you have more efficiently because the engine doesn't have to work as hard to get things going. The stock driveshaft is pretty heavy, and the aluminum I think was about 18lbs (can't remember for sure) but it takes a lot of the rotating weight out of the assembly. The thing I noticed was that the car actually felt "lighter" on acceleration. And it did improve things greatly. I went out the next weekend after installing it and posted a new personal best at the track, shaving almost 0.2 off my time.

It is a performance gain, not a horsepower gain.

What changes to the rear end / trans output are needed to change to a aluminum driveshaft?
