Default Aftermarket Muffler

I recently purchased a Flowmaster American Thunder for my stang and am hoping it will give my car a deeper sound when I install it. I bought it based on videos I had watched and love the idle and revving but one thing scares me.

I dont want my exhaust to pop all the time, is it for sure going to pop like most of the videos I watch or should it sound smoother on deceleration?

Thanks!

P.S. - I also noticed the GT takeoff didnt pop as much as the Flowmaster, I might have to return this and get a GT takeoff if it doesnt pop as much.

Its going to pop, hell my auto GT take-off pops. Its the nature of the beast i think, prolly will pop less with a take off though.

I have a GT M/T take-off and it no pops. NONE. Growls like a deep throat.
Except when the fuel management is in open loop mode when its cold
but stops doing it when the closed loop mode is engaged.
By sure its a GTT M/T take-off as the GT AUTO take-offs are a waste of
time and sound like the OEM V6 muffler.

Not looking forward to the popping if it does, I'm more interested in a takeoff now than the Flowmaster! Kinda wish I would have just gotten the GT takeoff first of all.

Thats a nope and a nope, not that it matters.
The poppin is a rich fuel mixture, thats all.
Its not the mufflers fault, but you seem to think so....

It wont help, it wont hurt. it has nothing to do with poping
except indirectly if it has a bad tune with it......
Muffs pop not CAIs.

Not to hijack thread, but how loud is that muffler compared to the stock V6? I've been looking for something deep but not too loud, and I keep coming back to a GT take-off.

I had the Flowmaster American Thunder on my car. After you have it on for awhile, and once the car warms up, no popping from mine.

I did find though that when I put the 3.73 gears in the AT got too loud inside for me. It had great sound though and I really liked it from outside the car at idle and WOT
