check out www.raammat.com.

the sound deadening mat (such as dynamat) is for dampening vibrations by adding mass to body panels. adding ridiculous amounts of layers is NOT efficient in reducing interior noise. make sure to add insulating foam on top of the matting material because that is your best bet in reducing exterior noise.

i used raammat in my old truck and will be applying it to this current GT; it performs as well as dynamat, isnt sold at a ridiculous price, and is backed by a really nice guy (owner) who is every bit as much of an enthusiast as those on this board

Thats one way to save money on materials lol just cut it and cap it, no new piping. I would imagine that would be enough to make your sounds different freq so I would think eliminate droning. guess not

i say deal with it.
you wanted your car loud so you got your wish.
turn up the music if anything.

if you cant deal with it then put on a pair of gt takeoffs.
more aggressive than stock and drone isnt so bad.

not trying to be blunt but there are plenty or threads here about drone and people not liking it. do some research next time and find out things before you empty your pocket

did they not put in a crossover/H-pipe in for you? kinda weird that they just capped the y-pipe instead of replacing it.

What is the advantage of having H or x pipes?

h & x-pipes provide a area for the exhaust gases to equalize & both can drastically change the tone/sound of your exhaust . do a search on here & you will find many threads on this topic.
