Yeah, I usually go on the express way when going to school. Will the 3.73 gears make a difference in performance? Is there a big difference between 3.73 and 4.10 as far as performance? So recommended to get will be the T-lock, bearing kit, and LSD? Not saying that I'm not, but hypathetically, if I didn't get them, what would happen? Sorry for the questions, just new to gears and I want to increase the performace on my stang Supercharger is the last and final mod in the future, deep future.
Thanks for the replies, you all have been really helpful.

There is about a 200-300 RPM difference between 3.73s and 4.10s at legal highway speeds. The difference, from what I've read and seen, is substantial. If you do not get the T-Lok (also known as limited slip differential ), and get 4.10s, your traction, especially out of turns and at launches, will suffer. You will spin your wheels constantly and your rear will spin out more. Especially if you're supercharging, which is going to probably be my final mod, too, you will want the T-lok.

I also HIGHLY recommend switching out your entire 28 spline axle for a 31 spline 8.8 rear by Moser. Not only will it put the torque to the pavement better thanks to the wider circular shape of the flange, but it can also withstand greater shock and has a wider track width which will also improve traction.

Hmmm....I see. It just got clearer. Thanks for the info and the advice. I will start looking up prices and trying to get these new parts. I just need to find a good mechanic that will install the gears with a good price. I'm really looking foward to this mod as people have been talking about the performance it draws out. What's the next mod to take into consideration (performance wise) after that, besides forced induction?
Thanks

it should cost around 350-450 to get the gear installed.FOR LABOUR ONLY! ad the gear and the lsd and bearings and your at $1000 for the 7.5 rebuild.i did it .DON'T YOU! get the 8.8 with a factory 3.55 gear and traction loc diff.put the super charger on it before you decide you don't like 3.55's. 4.10 is a no no with a sc. and to boot my gears are as noisy as hell.tried two different gears and had them installed by a pro and still noisy.7.5's i hear are bad for that.don't waste your money on the 7.5. don't install any gear without a lsd.

Damn, that's a lot of money. Guess I'll have to save up. Thanks for the info and hopefully I'll get them gears soon. What other mods will help with acceleration?
Thanks
