You can't tell from the color or the smell of the oil. If you want to know how your oil is holding up you need to send it in for an analysis. It's probably fine.. I've been using 5w-20 mobile 1, accidently grabbed 5w-30 last time and just put that in yesterday.. i'm not worried about it at all though.. many people use 5w-30 in their GTs even though 5w-20 is recommended (i'm sure on the v6 it doesn't matter either).. it just depends on your engine temp whether or not its at peak verscosity.. and for how cold it is here i should be using a 0-20.. especially since my car doesn't hit peak operating temps most days... it stay pretty cool. the i read the difference between 5w-20 and 5w-30 is hardly anything.. something like 10 degrees.
