Tuner Q's
Alright Ive had my Diablo tuner for about 6 months now, Since putting it and running various tunes that it xame with ive noticed with any of the tunes my MPG's Fall like a rock. I dont have a wide band yet, Though thats in the plan. Ive even got a custom tune with bama, Gotta say its great. But the mileage is about 16 no matter how i drive. Is there a hard reset that we can do the pcm. And not just pulling the negative battery cable? Any tips ya got would be great, But i wont be able to test it out intill i get my car back. If I ever do that is. Heres some pics discribing why.

I was wondering the same thing, on these tuners the MPG is never really discussed. I am wanting to make the jump to a CAI and Tune but I wouldnt want to lose a lot of MPG's. Is there someone who makes a Tune that has good power without sacrificing as much mileage?
To OP- Hope your car can get fixed soon!

Ouch, looks like another wipeout. It's been really slick around here recently with the ice and slush. Hope you get your car repaired soon. As for the tune.. ran across this thread searching for some info.. but I believe I've read here and there that tunes will not or does not increase MPG..
vmptuning.com makes great mpg tunes BUT I think they only work on highway mileage. I've got as high as 29.1 mpg highway(27.6 with the 3.55s)while the best I ever got without the tune was 24-25 mpg highway. My around town mileage(16-19 mpg)has stayed exactly the same as it was without the tune. The difference as you know is that with the tune the car has more power, much better responce, improved shifting and just drives like a Mustang should. I had to go back to the stock tune last week and the car was a pig without the 93 tune. I couldn't wait to load the 93 tune back in. Give vmp a call and talk to Justin.

Are you running the canned tunes or custom tunes? Big difference in performance... Bama provides excellent custon tunes for the Diablo.
As far as mileage, unless you're getting on it a LOT to test the tunes, your mileage should be pretty much unchanged. Some claim an increase in mileage but I think it's BS unless they're running an economy tune. The only time I have fuel mileage issues is when I suspect my gas has a higher ethanol percentage than normal.
