The thing to watch for, is the pinion flange. That attaches the differentail to the driveshaft. The v6 and gt are a little different. The link I posted above is for the v6 flange.

Alright, thanks! I've also been hearing about aluminum driveshafts, in what ways would they benefit my car?

its really because the aluminium DS are one piece. The two piece ones are prone to coming apart and destroying things around it lol. The cobra flange is what you will need to put in an 8.8. I don't recall the difficulty of the flange swap. You might want to get it already with one or have a shop do it for you.

They are only prone to coming apart at speeds in excess of 118 mph. If they are coming apart at low speed then it is due to damage of some kind.

Just got the duals installed today, waiting for the procal tune to come in, hopefully tomorrow. Even without a tune I was still able to feel a slight improvement in the feel of the car, though I know I should probably tune it before I go on long joyrides.

So this brings me to my second step, which I'm thinking about doing I've decided to install next the the 8.8 axle with t-lok and 3.73 gears from newtakeoff. I'm probably going to get the driveshaft replaced with an aluminum one at the same time. Anyone know how long this whole swap would take, assuming a pro does it? Thanks.

what kind of hp numbers to you plan on making? an aluminum DS seems like overkill for a v6.

I live in somerset county, the bridgewater area. I also heard that the aluminum drive shaft minimizes vibrations that occur at high speeds, improving drivability.
