My scholarships recently came through, and now I have exactly $500 to drop on a CAI/Tune. Here is my question, I am running a completely stock automatic V6, I have read where the Bama and Alternative Auto are no longer available. What is the best CAI/Tuner combo available for my setup? I was about to pull the trigger on Bama, and now Doug is having some problems... I would prefer to buy the Intake and tune in a package.

brenspeed, tillman, vmp, evolution, all are good. much of depends on personal preference.

which one is most preferred for Auto's? Brenspeed doesnt advertise for V6's....

I have an auto and I got tunes from Brenspeed, V8 though.. but I have yet to test it. Read lots of rave reviews about them here so I went with Brenspeed.

vmptuning.com has a very good deal on a V6 cai/tuner package. It's $449.00 and is the least expensive cai/tuner out there. The cai is very basic but works just fine. I have been using this system for about 2.5 years now and love what it does for my car. Give Justin a call and he will fix you up. Get yourself a GT takeoff muffler and you car will sound better plus make a little more power too.

vmp is most likely the only one under 500. most are more than that. if you want the gt take offs search this forum. theres normally a set on here for cheap. ive got a set i want to get rid of cheap.

I already have the GT takeoffs, but thanks guys. I would probably be considering the Brenspeed route, I can crape together another 100 before I cant wait any longer. Which would you recommend, the Bullitt intake and tune or the C&L intake and tune, they are the same price?

^ the bullit inake will not fit your car. you have to get a v6 specific. try bama if hes still doing tunes, i love my bama tune

get a tune from Doug, you have an auto.

and find a used intake.

Don't know what the status is with Doug right now and I hate stirring things up, but you might want to just look into it first. It may still be a wait. Otherwise Brenspeed is another good choice.
