I had the original rounded AT on mine. In about 8 months it rusted pretty bad. Unless they've corrected that issue, my suggestion would be to take them off some weekend and prep and have them either powder coated or repainted with a high temp rust resistent paint to preserve them. I've also heard of the internals rusting away but I don't think that happened to mine when I had it.

The AT was one of the best sounding mufflers for our 4.0L IMO.
