i just installed my JLT intake. i feel like my hood is touching the filter is that normal? and the hose they give u do u put it all the way in the pipe or just halfway? yeah newbie to this lol. thanks

Can't really speak for the 05-09's but I would say, no it shouldn't hit your hood. But I could be wrong...Just seems common sense that it shouldn't.

As far as the "hose"? Not sure what you mean but if you're talking about the piping, it should go half/half at each connector...i.e.. 1st sleeve half over (or as far as it will go) the intake/ the pipe should go into the other side of the sleeve until it touches the intake and clamped tight on both ends. Same with the filter side.

My airaid CAI does not touch the hood. However, The CAI comes with a custom heat shield that may touch the hood. The heat shield is used to minimize the hot air around the air filter.

I have a MMR with the heat shield and the tube touches just a little but this is normal.
