Horrible stoping

i started looking more into cleaning the IAC, its a little different process since our cars are drive by wire, and idle is controlled by the computer, as is everything else it seems.
I stumbled on a post at a different forum where a guy is having similar issues with his 05 GT, im gonna try cleaning everything as mook and kevin suggested, hoping it will help.
Ill post an update once im done.
Does anyone know how to remove the plenum on our cars? It is full of gunk and buildup, i want to clean it, but after searching the internet i cant find out how to.

I'm having the same issue with my 06 V6 mustang I just purchased. When I come to a stop from 2nd to 1st gear it revs up a tad to high and its sorta rough. Ill try giving the IAC a check/clean.
Did you ever end up trying this?...and if it fixed your issue?

It's pretty hard to clean the IAC on these cars given that they don't have one. It's handled in the PCM.

Have you guys considered that the problem might not be the throttle body at all? Have you cleaned your fuel injectors or considered having them replaced? Cars get old, things wear out. Maybe it's time to have the transmission serviced? When was the last time you replaced the PCV valve? All of these systems are integrated now. They all send data to the PCM at the same time and if one of them is off or getting worn it can affect how the car runs. Cleaning the MAF is a good idea but what if the sensor degredation of the MAF is the issue and it just need to be replaced? Heck it could be that you just need to replace the TPS even.

speaking of which, I was trying to take out the PCV the other day but I wasnt sure how to without breaking it. Is there a special way to take it out?...I tried pulling it straight out and twisting it, but I was afraid of pushing too much pressure and breaking it..it looks like its made of some kind of plastic..
