Traded my 06 Mustang for a new SRT8 Challenger

So it's not an opinion, it's a fact.
But the OP is coming from an 06 V6 to an SRT8, that's definitely an upgrade, lol.
If that car was not such a tank, I'd have one. Best classic look out there.

My Wife's 06 V6 with 4.10 gears was a little beast off the line. It had more pep than even the 2011 5.0 auto up to 50mph or so then the 5.0 comes alive & would destroy it!
My daily driver is a Pontiac GXP V8 that can give even the SRT8 a good run. The SRT8 is for my wife. We also have a stock 2000 Camaro SS that runs 13.1.
I read that a stock auto 5.0 ran 12.5 but I find that very hard to believe based on the one I drove. It was maybe high 13s but the manual 5.0 did feel like a high 12s car and faster than any of my stock cars that I own.
Don't believe the print, go drive them all for yourself and you may be surprised. I was.

Dude, don't take it too personal...
You did buy a cool car, no doubts about that.
The Chally is too heavy for what it could do, plain and simple.
And this is in fact: A fact.
Being heavy means you lose the edge in handling and braking.
You also lose the edge in power to performance ratio.
Now, none of this matters if you're driving conservatively, like you seem to have stated.
Had Chrysler made that car like the Mustang size or even a smaller (why not), it would have been a WIN across the board, with gas mileage to boot, despite the 6.1L

I don't take it personal, I think they are all nice cars. I wish the Chally weighed the same as the Stang.
I'm more of a GM guy but my last 4 new cars (in 10 years) were Mazda, Mazda, Ford & now Dodge so I think I'm pretty open minded. My last GM new was my 99 Suburban which I still have with 250K miles and still look like new!
