Sub cuts out with JVC KWXR-610

I installed the JVC KWXR-610, and used the PAC harness to do so, after hearing that many folks successfully did the same. It sounds great EXCEPT the bass cuts out above volume 19 or 20. Not all the time, but enough to be annoying. I took it to the local "high end" audio place in Indianapolis, and they basically tried to sell me new amps and speakers. I figured I would ask if anyone else has had the same problem and see if anyone has a fix.

I apologize if this has been covered beore, but I found no previous thread on the topic.

Oops, juat saw that there is an audio section on this forum, sorry for posting this in the wrong folder!

Nobody really goes to the audio section... Do you have an adequate amp to accomodate the higher power going out to the sub at higher volumes?

To me that sounds like the amp is powerful enough.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that this car is an 05 V6 Vert, and had the Shaker 1000 head unit in it and the factory sub and amp. The only thing I did was to replace the head unit with the PAC harness. I'm not sure that I answered your question... I guess I don't know
