Mud flaps and gas mileage?

Anything that creates resistance (mudflaps, louvers, hood scoops, side scoops etc) will create drag and negatively affect mileage. It's probably not significant enough for you to notice though

well thanks to the ppl that were serious. all you others are ********. and the mudlaps look pretty sick on my car and it keeps my side panels clean jackass's

So where are the pics? The serious AND the ******** would like to see. You could be on to something. I've never seen mudflaps on an S197.

And if you don't have a little bit of thick skin, you'll be fighting these battles frequently. Most folks here just like to poke fun in a friendly way.
