right when u start ur engine u should let the engine cool down and go down about 7k rpm for v6ers. after when ur engine cools down. it should not pop anymore. its safer for ur engine to cool down.

so what you are saying is that the engine is hot when i start it and i need to let it "cool down" first. got it. also 7000 rpm is what i should let the car idle at. sounds legit.

imma do that right now while i type. here we go... WHAT THE FFFFF

@ Syn

I am kind of confused by your post....

Are you saying I should cool down my engine and then idle at 7K less then normal? ????

He is going to confuse you by that statement of cool down, when you start your car it probably idles around 1300-1500 rpms and slowly works it way down to normal idling rpms, he is just saying instead of taking off and driving right when you start your car, wait for the engine to get down to normal idling speed. It allows the fluids in your car time to warm up and also for your internals to get proper lubrication. The most strenuous time for your engine other than over-reving is cold start-up.
