I can't get my stang to rev past 4,000 RPM. Did you change your rev limiter?

After really looking into exhaust options I have decided not to go with a stinger decause I dont want a drone while cruising. I travel a LOT in my car and I prefer my pipes to talk just when I pass, start from a light, etc. I have been told that the Borla ProXs turbo muffler will be more of what I want.

If I Have shorty headers with a 2.25" collector, will they fit a 2.5" cat pipe? The ball joint/flange on the headers is larger than 2.25" and I think they would match up and still seal properly. Has anyone done this? A guy locally is selling his NTO H-pipe for $25 and I don't want to pass up a cheap alternative to getting my duals on.

I am going to have to cut it. GT's only have 3 bungs for O2 sensor. V6 has 4. I don't want to tap a new bung.

Personally, I think the best exhaust setup for a v6 is an H pipe with borla stingers.

Blue07V6, loud with the 4.0 often means DRONE!if you want your car loud go SLP loudmouths they are ridiculously loud, not good IMO with the 4.0 but its your car! My friend got rid of them because of the drone and people making fun of him for the horrible sound!

I want loud when i pass, start, and floor it. I want a good deep idle but not a drone while cruising. I was told the turbo construction Borla ProXs are louder than stock at idle, but not LOUD. I was told they get loud under heavy RPMs but are not loud while cruising. thats more what I am after.

I want a deep powerful sound at idle, then during normal conditions drone is ok as long as it is not louder then my music (usually four-six notches up on the shaker). Under heavy acceleration I want a powerful sound that is not ricey, but sounds "raw". And of course, same thing when revving up to higher rpms.

Have you taken a look at the Pypes True dual setup or any of the Pypes stuff? I just got my axelback a week or so ago and have loved it so far. I think they might be rebadged GT take offs but either way they sound good.
