Default Brake Upgrade....Couple of questions.

I am planning on upgrading to GT brakes.

The parts that I need are......what just the rotors and the caliper brackets?

I was going to just pick up some caliper brackets from a wrecked S197 and buy some upgraded rotors to complement them....

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks guys!

If the 2010-11 is like the 2005-2009 then all you need is the rotors and the brackets for the calipers.

For some reason though I thought that the 2010-11 had the same size brakes up front? If they are different sizes though then it should be just like swapping the 2005-09

I'm almost certain they don't.....now I may be wrong....but I'm almost certain that they didn't put the 12.4's in until '11.

If that is the case then EXCELLENT, I can just upgrade rotors and pads.
If not, then I'd like to upgrade a bit for now and Hopefully find some brackets cheap somewhere.

Hate to be a party pooper, but I did the GT brake upgrade with some Hawk pads and wasn't all that impressed... Gonna go with slotted next time. The larger front rotors do look better than the 11.5"

I wasn't expecting something HUGE....just better overall. ya know.

I'll be buying slotted rotors for it after I get the brackets

So the caliper brackets from the GT is what is used for our current V6's calipers to use GT rotors? Its not a specific "V6 adapter bracket" or anything?

Yeah I upgraded to 18's and the GT brakes give more clearance too. I also needed new brakes so it worked out.

I used this kit: http://www.mossmuscle.com/Shop/ViewP...eIndexID=72228
