It depends on many, many variables. I know people with the 4.6 that get better mileage than those with the 4.0 since it depends SO much on how and where you drive, the % ethanol in fuel, weather and road conditions; the list goes on and on. But with mixed highway and city driving the 4.0 can average in the low 20's; high 20's if it's all highway. On the other hand, my g/f's 4.0 averaged 14 MPG with 90% city driving and a lead foot.

All Highway, 28-30, depending on Gas, 70% Highway 30% City 23-26 depending on how many lights I hit on the way to work and around 20 in town.
BTW My Car with the Automatic, all stock except for the Dual exhaust.

Car gets pretty good MPG. Depends how you drive and if your driving highway or city.

I usually get 17 to 18 mpg on a tank, thats probably 70% highway 30% around town.

But I have 3.73's so that doesnt help

I knew the 4.6 GT and the 4.0 V6 where close to each-other, but man... I am averaging 18-19 mpg in my manual transmission GT, and the wife does around 17-18 mpg in her auto GT/CS convertible.

Im sure there is a big difference between the two of us in driving habits. If I had a GT I'd probably be getting 13-15 mpg

I have a 2005 V6 (pretty much the same car internally as the 2010). With bolt ons and a tune, I struggle to get 17 MPG combined city and highway.

That's the kicker, where you have to go all out on the V6 to get any decent go, the V8 will lug along doing the same thing. Putting your foot down to the floor in the 8 is something you only do if you are having some fun. And while I do coast to a stop most of the time because I hate to waste away brakepads and momentum, I do floor her every once and a while.
