Exclamation Timing Chain Tensioner, Timing Chain, Cam Timing

Hello all! I recently had my main timing chain tensioner go completely out, so I fully replaced the main timing chain, tensioner, and guide. The other guides and tensioners are intact so I left them alone. Given that I replaced the chain and loosed the jackshaft bolt, I also went and bought the OTC timing kit to make for sure the cams did not get out of time and retimed everything, crank at TDC 12:00, and cams with their timing notches parallel to their respective valve cover mating surfaces. I put everything back together and now it runs very rough and cannot find idle, it throws code p0106, it sounds like I accidentally gave the car an idle chop, and the engine shakes noticeably, it also seems like exhaust fumes are coming out of the engine bay as opposed to the exhaust pipes. The car has never had motor problems before minus the standard issue SOHC culprits like thermostat housing and radiator, my immediate conclusion would be that it is out of time, but how can this be if I timed them with great precision? Please help I am completely stumped.
