Default 05 mustang 4.0 BBK throttle body installed

ive got the tps voltage on the money. everything looks good and the car is running great on the gas. however, when i tach up the throttle, the rpm`s come back down too slow. most noticeable going slow down the sidestreet. the rpms want to hang up, and the car goes into like a cruise control condition, even if i downshift the auto. idles fine in park, little high around 900 but seems ok. bama thinks they might be able to fix it in my tune. any thoughts or ideas?

I'm not sure what your purpose of the aftermarket TB was since it really doesn't provide any gains unless you do a LOT of other "breathing" mods. And most aftermarket TB installs are frought with install issues. But I have little doubt that AM will come thru and straighten things out.

In my opinion the aftermarket tb's are just polished/ported versions of stock ford 4.0s, thats what i think.

Zabteck and Strannigan mod the factory ones.

BBK makes their own.

I've heard that some aftermarket TB's are sticky around the plate, that could easily cause your 'cruise control' like issue.

I'd avoid the BBK like the plague, my buddies he had on his 2006 GT left him stranded numerous times due to it not opening or moving really.
