Default American thunder exhaust

So i was looking up on american muscle at the flowmaster american thunder setup for my v6 mustang and i was to have a dual setup. The price for the v6 exhaust for one was 189.99 so 380 if i wanted to go for a set. I also see that the gt exhaust is 269.99 for 2, I have already looked at the fitment and it doesnt say v6. So my question would it fit on a v6 i dont see why it wouldnt but thats why im asking, save myself a hundred dollars.

2006 ford mustang v6

Thanks

The reason it (and all muffler set ups) say it is for the GT is because your V6 only has a single exhaust. So you buy the GT mufflers, a driver side over axle pipe, and either an X or H pipe - but your Y pipe out and splice in your X or H. Then cut your rear bumper for the extra muffler.

100% agree, buy the pakcage. I bought the single, and I love it. But now I am thinking of converting to dual. I should have bought both and just installed the passenger side until I was ready to get the exhaust work done.

I meant to add this - you can't just order the 2 V6 mufflers either. You will just end up with two mufflers for the passenger side so the hanger rods will be on the wrong side for the driver side.

Another part you will need to pick up will be the hangers for the driver side. Since the 2006 doesn't have a muffler over there you don't have the hangers (another reason they say GT on the dual muffler systems). It is already drilled for the hangers, but you need to buy them.

I would imagine so - you can't put the driver side muffler on without the hangers!
