I was driving along today when all of the idiot lights came on on the dash, engine seem to run ok, then pulled into a parking lot and shut the car off and it wouldn't restart. When trying to restart there was just a clicking noise. Check the battery voltage and it seemed fine. Any idea on what caused this? I had to have the car towed home. Any help really appreciated.

Just checking voltage won't tell you if the battery is shot. No load can read fine but the minute you apply load it's gone. Hopefully it's a simple battery replacement and perhaps alternator (since they're both weak links in the S197's). Any chance you've had any indications of the water leak issue per the TSB?

Could be an alternator problem if the battery is fine.

Probably not the water leak since his sig says its an 07.

My '07 developed the leak as of last year. Also, there is a recent thread of an '09 that has it. I think the 05's and '06's are most prone but the 07's on up are still susceptable.
