Exhaust Question - Macs?
Sorry guys, I know there are a million and 2 threads right now about exhaust but I didn't want to thread jack someone.
Do any of you have dual Macs on your 4.0s?
Is the drone awful?
Its really between Macs, Flowmaster AT, or GT take offs. The car could be going in as soon as next week for the exhaust.
I haven't really heard anything about Mac, but the videos on youtube sound AMAZING.
How do you guys think these sound?
Oh and Eddie I was looking for that clip of your car with the straight pipes and no cross over I can't find it. Could you post it for me if you still have it?
And OT
Yes I know this is a GT but look who's pretty legend lime is beside it.

I've heard that the MAC's have a pretty bad drone. I had Pypes Street Pro's on mine at first but they had bad drone too. I switched to GT500 take offs and really like the sound. They are just GT takeoffs without the rolled tips.

I have heard that the MACs do not drone much at all. I heard a V6 in person with one MAC muffler and it sounded really good, and I have seen alot of videos that all sound great. When I go duals, I am definitely getting MACs.
Besides, you've got a mustang. A little drone is not what you should be worrying about.

Lol Pascal.
Sure is a beautiful car and very noticeable.
Ha yeah I'm really not worried about a little drone, but I really don't want it to have anymore drone than I have now... which is a lot. I love it when I'm in my car by myself, but otherwise its annoying when I have someone else in the car.
There is a Mustang show in the middle of the month, I'm kind of hoping their will be some 4.0s with different duals there. My first Mustang show so I don't really know what to expect.

I have a friend that has MAC mufflers on his 4.0 they sound awesome at idle and low rpms sounds as good as a GT. That said, I have another friend that had MAC's laying around his shop (is a mechanic) asked me if I wanted them, the answer was yes!
I had them on my car for 2 days, and put my GT takeoff mufflers back on! The DRONE was absolutely horrible, couldn't hear my cell phone ring and its at the loudest setting. Another thing was the massive loss in back pressure. This was really bad because felt like I was driving a 3 cylinder car, this was with the SCT tuner on the 93 race tune.
Perfect for the GT but on the 4.0
