Default another XCharger Question

hey guys-

Another question about the X Im lusting after...

One other concern im having right now is that if I went for the XCharger Xtreme (The intercooled model) I would have to buy a different front bumper to allow adequate airflow over the intercooler unit. Or is the factory V6 bumper ok?

i would guess that the v6 bumper works fine, as many folks still have a v6 bumper on their extreme stang. im sure the x-men will chime in.

JimC and Nice Pony both have V6 bumpers on their mustangs with the X-Charger

The kit is designed to work with the factory setup. At speed there is plenty of airflow in that area. The factory bumper cover works great. I went with a different bumper cover because I like the look of the heat exchanger showing through. However I don't think I get any benefit in cooling from this change.

In addition to the above, works with the GT/CS bumper too.

Mine works fine with the stock Pony bumper. Like Wes said, the heat exchanger doesn't show as much (my wife says mine looks like it has fangs with the sides of the heat exchanger showing up on either side of the post). I'll try to get a picture up tonight so you can see it.

and Nice Pony is using the stock bumper as well and he does road courses with many long WOT runs - not like the drag strip where it is a 12.6 second sprint with time for cool down in the pits.

Plenty of airflow with the stock bumper cover. I had my heat exchanger black thermal dispersant coated so you can't even tell it is there. No fangs like Jim's. Ha

Here are the fangs:

I think that the Pony package lower grill is a little different from the base V6
