4.0 Mustang a thing of the past?

I love my car and it's been really good to me for 171K miles so far in 6 years. I have a kid starting college and another 2 years behind that so I'd like to get about another 6 years out of this one. If the engine takes a dump I hope to pick up another with low miles and Xcharge this time around.
Kinda bummed this weekend I cleaned the engine bay and found the well documented bubbling paint under the leading edge of the hood, so I have that small project to attend to before winter.

Exactly! Gotta buck up for some new tires first, and just had to pop for a windshield to pass state inspection. Then it's back to the fun stuff....

What always sucks is having to remove the CAI and tune so it will pass an emissions inspection. Not because of actual emissions, but for how the sensors are managed in the tune. Makes me appreciate how much better she drives when I get to put it back on and retune.
They make their cash here....$40+ for Safety and Emissions inspections then another $60 for the plates, but at least thats a 2 year tag so I'm free again for awhile.

Outside of St. Louis in the country. Windshield cracks are OK unless they are in the driver's line of sight....def a judgement call sometimes, but mine went all the way across the winshield. Kinda nice to have fresh glass again anyway.

This annoying "chirp"
I've had my mustang for a little over a year and I love it. It took me a while to get use to a V6 vs. V8, but this car has proven itself. I went ahead and added a few things to it and I'm fixing it up little by little. I just put a Bassani XHaust on it last Saturday. There is this annoying "chirp" coming from somewhere under the hood when it's idling. I don't think it's hurting the car but it annoys the hell out of me. Does anybody have any ideas? Anyway, I love my Mustang!

A wallet cannot make the limits of potential for the engine disappear. You can have the biggest wallet in the world. There is only so much an engine can handle and engine/displacement size is the major determining factor when it comes to the potential of the car and what it can handle before it goes BOOM!
