Default question k&n with a tuner

question if i were to put a k&n air filter in keep the stock intake and get a sf3 bama tuner how much performance would i get with this i have a flowmaster axle back exhaust on it everything else is stock .as you can see i posted a few questions to different layouts to get a little better performance out of the stang .trying the cheapest way possible dont want to spend to much will be trading up down the line to a v8 eventually ,thanxs guys

The difference between a good custom tune with a tune-required CAI or with a no-tune-required CAI is only a couple RWHP; maybe 2 or 3 as a guess (you can get more variance on the dyno from pull to pull with the exact same setup so differences of that small a magnitude are difficult to distinguish). The average butt-dyno can't distinguish a 3-5 RWHP difference (minus the placebo effect). A K&N with a Bama tune will make you smile.

What he said. A quality intake and tuner with solid tune isn't something you want to cheap out on as it's one of the best basic couple boltons you can do.
