Track runs sucked what the??
So i took my car to the track and ran about three times getting times from 15.9 to 16.1 stock car nothing done to it except hurst short throw then the next month i got a tuner from am and k&n cai and running the 91 race tune i was running the same numbers at the track the next time i went. Now this doesnt seem right any ideas why? I have about 103k miles on my car.

Not terrible times, but you could definitely improve on those a lot. Just out of curiosity whats your 60'?
And with the tune/cai it's not uncommon to dip into the high 14s... Good track prep, and conditions you can hit mid-high 14s too, but you gotta work for it lol.

Sounds about right. I just finished the track this morning myself. Before a tune (only with exhaust and CAI) my best way 15.6 at 89.5. Now with a 93 race tune, I'm only seeing 15.1 at 90.3 So not too much of an increase. This was also done at temperatures about 20 degrees cooler than the first runs. So, if the temperature was about the same for you, the numbers should be closer than mine even. So I would say, sounds about right...

Weight of the car has alot to do with it. Try running the car without the spare and jack and with only a 1/4 of a tank of gas. My best time has been a 15.2 stock. Now that I have duals and will be getting a tune/cai Im hoping I will hit in the 14's.

I will post my slips when I get home today but it's my first time racing so don't burn me to much. I was racing on my street tires with 1/4 tank no spare or jack and no rear seats. Tires were deflated to about 25psi in back
