Default Great day - 3.73's & T-lok (PICS!)

I had the pleasure of spending the day at ProDyno while they installed my 3.73 gears and T-lok. Had a good time and made some friends, including the owner's bulldog Leroy Brown. LOL. So far the gears seem to be working well with no unexpected noises. I'm upgrading from 3.31's so the difference isn't all that noticable and I haven't really jumped on her just yet. RPM's at 80mph are 2900 which is pretty good. I was worried about the increased RPMs, but it's a non-issue. The grip with the T-lok is much better as well. Before the upgrade I could roast the right rear tire without much effort so the traction control was a must. I also bought a nice ProDyno shirt which has the owners grabber blue 5.0 on it.

My RPM's with the 3.73's:
65MPH = ~2250
70MPH = 2500
75MPH = ~2700
80MPH = 2900

Here's some pics. There were some nice rides in and around the shop. Enjoy!

I finally had the opportunity to do some "spirited" drving today. I only get to drive it on the weekend since my job requires 100% travel. I need to retract my original thoughts - the gears really make a significant difference in the car. The fun factor has certainly been raised for sure! The combination of the BAMA 93 race tune and the 3.73's is pretty cool. It was well worth the time and cost! It's a great balance for the street and can still be used as a DD, which is a must for me. Yes, I do realize it's not a 4.6 or 5.0, but it's what I have to work with right now. :-)

The only problem now is trying to drive conservative around town. This will take some time.. :-)

DON'T FEAR THE GEARS!!!!!!!!!!! Who knows, I may decide to put some FI on this thing to finish it off. Maybe next year.
