C&L intake without tune
#11
The nice thing about delaware is their emissions testing isn't too in depth. I am planning on getting a tune, just didn't know if I could get away with running it without a tuner or not. Thank you for the help with the questions!
The throttlebody was just a idea that was bouncing in the back of my head since I could practically get it for free.

Best performance mod thus far and well worth the $$$$!

As has already been said, you really need a tune to take advantage of the intake/throttle body.
Let me know if I can get you an SCT tuner with Steeda custom tuning for your intake.

No, the local guys custom tune is married to his Mustang and his CPU code. The Bama tuner (American Muscle) will have to be unmarried and you will need custom tunes that are created specifically for your car and your CPU code. Which ever company you decide to go with, they will request information specific to your vehicle. For example, they will need to know the following: Year/Make/Model of car, Brand of CAI, gear size, exhaust type and set up, tire size and any other after market goodies. Once they create the custom tunes, they can email to you and will need to upload the custom tunes onto the Bama tuner, then upload directly to your car.

Aftermarkets are not designed as well and while they may work ok for a short while they tend to breakdown after less than year of use in most cases, regardless of how well they were installed.

If you insist on doing a TB upgrade for a NA car then upgrade to a GT500 TB (stick with Ford).

Ah, you are correct. I didn't see it mentioned we were talking about a v-6. I only figured that out after I checked yoru profile.
Anyways, an aftermarket TB will do even less for a V6 unless you are pushing some serious HP. Even so, at that point I would recommend getting an OEM TB's that's been ported & polished for better/higher flow if it's needed. That way you get OEM reliability.
