Default Leak?

Quick question, I have searched for an answer in here but havent found an answer. The last few days it has rained and since my car is parked outside it obviously gets wet. But when you open the door there is standing water in the lettering in the door sill plate. Is there a way to fix this? It doesnt seem like its getting into the car because nothing else is wet. Any solutions accepted!

Only on the sill and not in the carpet is unusual. I'd have to guess either a rip in the weather stripping or try removing the little plastic inserts in the drain holes on the bottom of the door and check for anything clogging the holes. Most people tend to leave the inserts out. But since the drain holes are outside the weather stripping, I doubt it's them.

This being said, right where the pillar runs up the windshield on the side there is a cloth like material that is ripping on both sides of the car. Could this have something to do it?

I have that weird foam too, but mine does not leak from there. Look on the bottom of the doors and see if there are two rectangular shaped plugs there. Water maybe building up inside and leaking from those plugged holes.

I looked for these plugs and I could not find them. On the bottom of the door itself there is just a bunch of bolts holding the door panel in place. Could you tell me where these plugs are? And I thought the foam might have been where water may be running down, like it was some type of weather stripping.

Sorry, I haven't check in MF a couple days. I'll upload the picture. It maybe painted the color of your door. There are 2 plugs, one that I circled and one towards the hinge of the door. I couldn't get it all the way open since I was in the garage.

I still have the plug on this side but I pulled the one towards the hinge. This is also on the passenger door.

^^^^^^^^Yeah, those plugs.

Get rid of them, they're useless anyway.
The problem with those is that they keep the water from evacuating the inside of the door...
So it builds up and raise until it comes out from behind the door panel, thus dripping on the sill plate and eventually onto the carpet.

I had a customer with that problem and as soon as I removed those plugs the water was coming out like a faucet, lol.

So I pulled those plugs and nothing came out so I shook the door and still nothing. Went around to the passenger side pulled the plug and shook the door and nothing. Where is the water coming from!

Maybe look into cleaning out your grommets near your windshield. Maybe they are clogged?
Hope you are able to find out where the leak is coming from!
