Default crank pulley

Hey Everyone, I'm back with my stepson's '07 v6, and I did end up replacing the flywheel and starter (Thanks flyhigh@mach1 and Boneman for responding to my last problem), then another starter. And it still sounds like the crank is coming out of the block on random starts. Once the engine is running, it runs decently, got plenty of power for a v6.

So I have tried everything I could think of before I removed the 2nd crank pulley, which is coming apart. It has been on the engine for approx. 3 months, as the original pulley lost the front lip and threw the belt.
This latest is separating, and is melting the belt so that there are chunks of rubber on the underside of the tension pulley. I've been hearing stories about these 2 piece crank pulleys, especially on '07s?

Couple of questions: Am I limited to another piece of crap OEM pulley? One or more of the pulleys are out of alignment, cause the belt is 3 months old and looks like it has 80k miles on it..how do I check and/or fix a pulley alignment problem? Why are the pulleys failing in the 1st place?

Specs: A/T; 118k miles; my sis-in-law put the 1st 97k miles on it; no real hot-rodding till my stepson got it.

Any help or suggestions would be wonderful, thanks a million for being here I really appreciate your knowledge.
