Rear widow Defogger

Rear widow Defogger
Me again, Got a 08 V6 convertible with all the goodies,,,, But now, no rear window defogger. Seems that the people at Ford, or their supplier doesn't know how to properly attach the tab, to the wire grid on the window. IT didn't just come loose on one side, the stupid thing just FELL OFF, COMPLETELY.
My question is: are the kits from permatex a quality product, or do I need to remove the window, lay it on the bench, and solder it back on. I know that soldering it on would be the best, BUT will the permatex kit work as good?
Also, any tricks to using the permatex kit?

I took mine to Ford and the dealer repaired it. Then it fell off again so they repaired it again. A couple of months later it fell off again.
So I bought a kit from Frost Fighter http://www.frostfighter.com/prt2000.htm and did the repair myself. That held for several years and was still working fine when I sold it in June.
