Hey guys havent posted in awhile been away, but anyways I have an exhaust question and I havent been able to find the answer using search or google. Im getting ready to head to the shop to get a true dual conversion done to my sixxer. Question is: Main concern is not being able to switch out mufflers if I want something different like a set of Borlas or something. I picked up the GT Roush mufflers for 90 bucks on CL and wanting to use them, but not sure if theyll be interchangeable. The guy I talked to at Meineke (shop im going to) wasnt sure about it.

As long as it's a muffler for an 05-09 mustang it will fit. The hangars between V6/GT/GT500/ and as far as I know Roush; were never different. Neither are the over axle pipe sizes, so the inlet for the mufflers are all the same as well.

Let us know how it goes, I took mine to a similar place (midas) and after noticing their limited understanding of S197 exhaust systems I wouldn't let them come within a 10ft. radius of my car with anything more than a socket wrench.

It will likely be different for you, I know of many Midas/Meineke shops that people have had great luck with, just comes down to who works there...

Appreciate the feed back. Im gonna go in an get the actual quote maybe next week. The guy didn't know what I was talking about so im just gonna go in. Theyre the only shop ive found thay will do it. All other local exhaust shops won't do it
