Default looking for an exhaust..

I am looking to put an exhaust in my v6 pony package. It is currently stock but wont be for much longer. I found that I like the sound of the mac pro chamber with the 40 series flowmaster on the older stangs. Does anyone know where I can find a similar sound? Im not looking for something ridiculously loud, just with a nice muscle car tone like this..

The 4.0 doesn't lend itself to produciing "muscle car sound". There are a lot of choices and each one has it's followers. Also, you won't add power by changing exhaust, even if you go to a dual system. It's how these 4.0's roll.

BTW, that video is NOT an S197 nor a 4.0. You'll NEVER get that kind of tone or anything close from the 4.0.

That is unfortunate to hear.. i knew it wasnt gunna sound like a v8 or anything but I figured I would ask. I havent heard anything I absolutely love from the videos off of YouTube. I have other upgrades planned to bring some more power, but Im certainly not in love with the stock exhaust.. it has to go

Personally I think LTs with Pypes' American Thunder would sound great. I've heard the LTs with roush mufflers and no cats, just sounds like a very angry fart can. If you do go with LTs get a shorty catted H pipe. As for the mufflers you'll have to decide for yourself; although I do say the 40 series sounds pretty good:

Ive been watching several videos online and I would have to say my favorite (as far as sound goes) is the Cervini dual side exhaust system. Its definitely pricy, but would definitely be a unique looking and sounding style. Most of the v6's I hear around town don't have a nice tone and really dont sound good IMO. I also like the pypes exhaust but it seems hit or miss from the videos off of YouTube.. maybe some of the videos aren't doing it justice.

I did straight pipes all the way back...no mufflers. Just cats.

also had some SLP Shotgun resonators welded up to fight drone.
