Dynomax, JLT, and SCT/BAMA
While the rest of the country may be stuck in winter it's spring down here in Oklahoma so let the spring mods begin.
Fedex man just dropped off the Dynomax 39503 catback system. The JLT intake and SCT tuner are waiting to be picked up at UPS. I haven't heard much about dynomax kit but the price was too good to pass up($324 shipped from jegs) and dynomax has a pretty good reputation. I hoped to get everything on this weekend but NTO was a little slow shipping my GT valance so I won't have it until Monday.

Just snagged some new(open box) Pacesetter shorties off ebay for 95 bucks. This little modding endeavor has turned out not to be a huge pocket drainer I'm still under 1K total.
edit...
After some research it seems that pacesetter's headers have somewhat mixed reviews. It seems the M2 ones on ebay have pretty favorable reviews. I'll see when they arrive.

Install is complete and it was an all day event. The rear valance install is pretty straight forward. Maybe took a couple of hours at most.
The exhaust was a bit of a bear to put on without a lift. I used two jack stands. I cut the y pipe with a chain type cutter and it is a workout to say the least. I also used an exhaust pipe stretcher from autozone. to stretch out the clamp flanges because they were a little crushed. The intermediate pipes actually go in quite easily but you have to know how to turn them or you will swear they won't go on.(ask me how I know). Driver side hangers go on easily with the provided self tapping bolts into predrilled holes in the frame. Everything lines up and bolts up pretty easily. I did have to drop the hangers to put the mufflers on.
The JLT intake was extremely easy. That and the tune probably took 20 min.
So my initial take on the dynomax kit.
As far as looks. It looks great. The polished tips fill the holes of the Gt valance quite nicely and look great. It's nice to see a proper dual setup over that dreaded single side.
The sound of the kit is exactly what I was looking for. The main thing I was worried about on installing a kit was it being too loud or raspy. At idle the exhaust is nearly as quiet as my single GT takeoff but the note is deeper. As you climb through the RPM's the note sweetens up, up until around 2500 then it starts howling.
The weather is about to turn sour for a couple days down here, but hopefully by this weekend I can get some pics and videos up of everything. I have a Zoom H1 audio recorder, so I will be able to get some great quality stereo audio samples up for any interested in how the kit sounds.

Put the car back on the jacks this morning to make sure the entire exhaust was tight and make a few adjustments to the muffler tips. So the install is complete.
I'll try to leave a review of the tunes later tonight or tomorrow, but in short greatly improved throttle response, which in turn makes you low and midrange feel much more solid, and pulls better up top.
Here's the video I promised

Please excuse the dirty car and engine.
