Heater Hose necessary on intake?

Ah, yep, PCV hose. Do NOT simply block it off, you will get pressure buildup in the valve cover(s) and start getting oil leaks.

Install a catch can if you want/need between the intake and the PCV valve or you can run a PCV breather off the PCV Valve and block off the intake hole.

If you simply remove the hose you'll get a mist of oil in your engine bay and a CEL thrown for unmetered air that the open intake hole lets in.

I dont know what a catch can is or where i'd get one. I think ill just leave it in. Thanks guys

Where is the PCV valve on the 4.0L? is it on the side of the head/valve cover?
On the 4.0 the PCV is on the passenger side.
