Have a 2005 V6 and installed a MGW short throw shifter made for this transmission. Have about 76k miles on the car but only about 1,000 since the short throw was installed. Hearing a grinding sound that seems to be getting worse. Happens even when out of gear completely with clutch engaged or disengaged. Saw on another forum a similar issue and they replaced the clutch only to find out it was the shifter (there's was stock I think). Install went smoothly as well as putting in all the additional sound proofing.

Any help out there? Love the shifter but hate the noise.
