Default Water leak in passenger floorboard.

I know this is an old problem but we have had a bunch of rain lately and noticed water on the right floorboard and it seems like the SJB was being strange. I cleaned the connector and that seems to be ok now. My question is has anyone been to the dealer to see what the cost would be or is there anyone that has done it and uploaded pictures? I already checked the drains in the engine compartment and they were dry. I have done a search and there were some pictures but the person must not have a picture hosting place any more.

Thanks.

the cowl clip gaskets on early cars are to blame as well. the body gasket above the sjb that the door wires go thru can leak as well. there are 10 cowl clips and you can get new gaskets that come with adhesive or you can use autogoop or something similar. good luck

Once you remove the cowl cover, the drain is a rubber plug in the center bottom. Run a coat hanger through it then pour in some water to make sure it drains. If that's not the problem, read the TSB http://www.acc.umu.se/~olsson/mustang/tsb07-14-06.pdf

Open the hood look inside near the cowl vent there is a rubber drain that is most likely clogged with leaes and junk

the cowl drains and cowl clip gaskets are separate leak points. 10 cowl clip gaskets and 2 clogged cowl drains, overflows into the cabin filter.

Now everyone's reply really does help but in my case it did not. There's these little rubber grommet pocket things, two of them. One behind the battery and one to the right on the other side. They are black, if you find what I'm talking about you can grab them and pull them out, they usually are filled filled dirt, when you pull them out water should drain all over the ground. This is what fixed my issue, good luck !-mike
