Default Having some trouble with my heater (when it rains) need help!

Hey guys, so a few months back, my thermostat housing cracked, i wish i looked at this forum when that happened as now that im here i see this seems to be a very common issue, and there is even a sticky thread on how to fix it.... geez. anyway i got my car towed to my local Ford dealership, $1000.00 later, it was repaired.

now i notice whenever it rains if i make a turn, i can hear water sloshing, and hissing on the passenger side. and sometimes the water is literally dripping on the passenger floor.... im so confused on whats going on, i moved away from where i got the thermostat housing fixed, so i cant take the car back and ask them to take a look, as its only been happening since they worked on it.

also, the heater, i will crank it on high and when it rains out, it will still work, but it will take 15+ mins for the inside of my car to get warm, usually when its dry out, i will crank it and it works perfectly, warming the inside within 2 minutes.

any help diagnosing the problem is very much appreciated!

thanks

The cowl leak is also a very common problem. Do a search in the S197 section and you will find a lot of threads about it. You need to clean the drain out.

And $1,000 for the thermostat housing? Did they at least give you a kiss and a reach around!

See if your fusebox on the right side has moisture around it?
