Install a 5.O V8 is the obvious answer. V6 engines just don't have a mean deep growl and never will.

It'll never sound like a V8. But if you'd like a good-sounding and nice looking exhaust, there's a great sticky above your post for a dual exhaust conversion.

If that's not in your budget, check eBay or Craigslist for GT takeoff mufflers. The right hand one will swap out easily for your existing unit and will give you a substantial improvement in sound, a nice polished stainless steel tip, and maybe even a tiny performance boost, all for very little money.

"louder" doesn't necessarily translate to "good sound".

Get one of those things that they had on Pimp My Ride, which gives you like 20 different car/engine sounds!!
you can drive a different car every day

They are right when they say it will never sound like a V8, however you CAN make it sound like a nice V6. I bought a set of GT mufflers and the Pypes x pipe systems. I didn't switch out the bumper for a GT one....I wanted it to be a "v6" with duals so I cut a notch (using a template) out of the bumper. At a Ford dealership, one of the salesman thought it was a V8. I like it and have gotten many compliments on it.
