Ive got a 03 stang GT. I dont wear my seat belt usually and hate haveing to hook and unhook my seatbelt to keep that damn thing from dinging! Ive been told there is a certain sequence of things you can do to permanately keep it from dinging. I dont have my owners manual so if any one knows how to stop that thing please fill me in. Thanx! Please help me!

Easiest way? Use some common sense and wear your seatbelt!
OR swing into a junkyard, cut a seatbelt off and plug it in.

BeltMinder activation and deactivation
procedure
1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN (or ON)
position. (DO NOT START THE ENGINE.)
2. Wait until the safety belt warning light turns off.
(Approximately 1–2 minutes.)
• Steps 3–5 must be completed within 60 seconds
or the procedure will have to be repeated.
3. Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt three times,
ending with the safety belt unbuckled. This can be
done before or during BeltMinder warning activation.
4. Turn on the parklamps/headlamps, turn off the
parklamps/headlamps.
5. Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt three times,
ending with the safety belt unbuckled.
• After step 5 the safety belt warning light will be
turned on for three seconds.
6. Within seven seconds of the safety belt warning
light turning off, buckle then unbuckle the safety
belt.
• This will disable BeltMinder if it is currently
enabled, or enable BeltMinder if it is currently
disabled.
7. Confirmation of disabling BeltMinder is provided
by the safety belt warning light flashing four times
per second for three seconds.
8. Confirmation of enabling BeltMinder is provided
by:
• The safety belt warning light flashing four times
per second for three seconds.

Hey man no need to get smart...i'm just sayin like if ur settin somwhere in parkin lot every time you turn your igniton off and back on it resets and dings more...who wants to hear that thing all the time...i mean obviously u should wear it and i have common sence. But i'm pretty sure there is a way to dissable it other than wearing the belt or cuttin off a junk seat belt to keep pluged into the belt latch.

Okay, if you dont like the look of a seatbelt just hanging out there, I belive there is a thread where someone popped the cover off and soddered two wires together, and it resolved their problem. If you search you should be able to find it, good luck.

most cars there is a plug under the driver seat that you can just undo to remove it.

hey bud i tried this and it dont seem to work...i waited for the dinger to stop..it took about 5min. then i did the clicks and head lights on and off and clicked 3 more times..but then the light dosent come back on for 3sec.. got ne more suggestions?
