Hey guys........I was wondering.........What is the general life of a Flowmaster muffler? Also, how do you tell when you need to change? My '02 GT seems a little louder to me as of lately........Most people say they can't tell but it seems to be a bit smoother, deeper and dronier. Maybe it's just me.........They are not that old......They've only been on for maybe 3 1/2 years or so.......Any ideas?

Have you checked the mufflers for rust? Do you live in an area where there is alot of salt on the roads? I just installed an x-pipe last weekend and my mufflers looked new, other then being a little dirty, and they have been on for about a year.

^^ like he said.. depends on where you live, how well you maintain your car.. so forth. my guess anywhere from 75,000-125,000

Remember, if the mufflers are aluminized steel, they will rust from the inside and outside. If they are stainless, they should last the lifetime of the car.
