Hey guys was wondering since a v6 with bolt ons could hang with a stock GT auto i was wondering if you guys think that an Auto Gt with bolt ons could handle a 5 spd Gt??? Thanks guys i know its a little different but thought i'd ask anyway.

Slap some gears on an auto 99+GT and run a stock 5M 99+GT from a dig and it should be a decent run.

stock for stock they are only a couple of tenths away. i have seen autos be faster just for the fact that some people can't drive. but like emann said that will help you out greatly.

Ok, first of all, full bolt-ons will drop a cars 1/4 mile close to a second if not more depending on what mods you do and I can PROMISE you a 5speed is not a full second, or even a half a second faster than a auto. I have an auto with mods and I can beat my friends 5speed with mods...

I've never heard this and I've had both vehicles in the same car. By far as a V6, I never would have challenged a 99-04 GT auto or not. Now I would have challenged a stock 96-98 GT.

I run 13.5's and have yet to install my converter and EXHAUST.
I ran 13.6's with GEARS, LC ARMS, DRAG RADIALS and DIABLO TUNE/SHIFT.

My friend has a ProCharged 2002 v6, he runs low 14's...

a bolt on v6 keep up with a Auto GT...haha

where do you get your info?

AUTO with a converter CAN NOT BE BEAT IN THE 1/4 MILE.
b/c you get to stall high just like a Manual... but you get the PERFECT SHIFTS of an auto and consistant.
