Default 4.10`s are in...

4.10`s installed today. Car is alot more enjoyable to drive now. Not much of a first gear as everyone knows. And I dont hook up too bad with the stock tires. I am really surprised. The only problem is 4th gear makes some noise when I let off the gas. All other gears are ok. WTF is up with that? I dont think its something that will just go away in time. Anybody else with this issue or something similar? Just have to say im happy with the better performance, but the noise really sucks. [&:]

is it a whining noise? clunking? more descriptive please...either way it sounds like you should take it back and tell them to check their installation.

Its more of a whine. But why in only 4th gear. If the install is not right, shouldnt it do it in all gears?

They didnt shim it correctly before they threw the gears in there...take it back and tell them to do it right.

Ive got a noise too, It seems to come right from the tranny tho (right under the shifter). Its when im coasting with the car in gear and clutch pressed. Kind of a "wer wer wer wer wer wer". It will stop when I put it in neutral. Not sure what to make of it, but its been happening for awhile and I havent had any problems.

mine does the exact opposite lol. my makes whiney noise in neutral because of throwout bearing. Your throwout bearing could be messed up too.

Its not throw out bearing (ive got some of that too) this is a lower pitched noise. Sounds like the gears turning.
