GOT 3.73’s
 

I just orderdford racing3.73s and a ratech istalation kit what do i need for my speedo to be correct 96-98 have the gears and 99-04 have digital so will i need just a new gear. Andhow much willmy 0 to 60 times drop with thees gears on an auto andone more thing is $260.00 too much for instalation and i paid $340 for the gears and kit is it that bad of a rip i know i paid too much but not sure how muchthanks for any info.

For the speedometer stuff I have no idea. For the price of the gears and installation I would say that is a bit high. I've heard better but I've also heard worse. Here in Az there is a place where I could buy the gears for $170 and get them installed for $200.

Look at Dallas Mustangs they have a "SpeedCal" which is $100 and supposidly is an electronic convertor that plugs in between the trans and computer. It can adjust for gears or tire diameter.

I got my ford racing 3.73's for like 130, and had them installed for 200. how did you manage paying 340 for the gears??? I know in my car they dropped the quarter time about .2 when I went up but that was with realllllllly bad wheel hope. soo it should have been more like .3 atleast. goodluck!

They have a Superchip Micro Tuner for $300 that plugs in the port under your dash. Not only does it correct for gears and tire size, it can make your shifts faster (in autos), change top speed, rev limiter, temp fan comes on and adjusts your air/fuel ratios and timing to gain probably 10 rwhp...I have one on my way so I'll let you know what it's like if you're interested.....
