40 grand a year doing what now? selling pepsi ? kenne bell 2.2 will run you around 6 grand when all is said and done, and a vortech aftercooled kit will run about 4 grand. a saleen series 4 new will run 4 grand, and recently i was informed that prochargers have ****ty bearings and poor impeller designs compared to vortech, but i guess thats why they are cheaper. im trying to decide whther or not to go vortech or saleen, or just save my money. again, what is it you do for pepsi, thats good dough.

I'll be a sales representative for 3 stores. I sell them the pop, try to sell managers new products and such. Then I fill the shelves and such. It's great money and I'm still gonna stay in school and go for business. Would the KB 1.7 be the most fun??

I would guess so... my plans are to save for one over this summer and hopefully by mid summer I'll have enough and I'll be able to enjoy it the rest of the year. They produce boost at almost all RPMs so I could only imagine it would be the most fun on the street. Any boost you get though you'll love.

2.2 KB running at 11 lbs with an intercooler when you purchase everything you need from KB it comes to $6800, not including hood, not including tune. So realistically, for the 2.2 you're looking at closer to 8 grand for everything new. You'll also need to drop some more on a forged short block if you really want to get a good amount of boost out of it. It's BS that the KB blower for the 3v engine makes 5-26 lbs of boost... too bad they don't make one like that for the 2v... we have 6-14 ($4800 for everything), and 11-27 ($$$).

The Saleen blower makes 6lbs of boost, intercooled for $4400. They will have them back in stock end of this month. E-mail them and ask them about it and they will take 10% off... $4000 for a screw blower that makes modest boost. Good deal! They say 365rwhp 325rwtq. Kit comes with instructions. Just e-mailed them about it because I can't decide between their blower or the KB but I think I may go with the KB as of now. Spend a little more, get a bunch more boost/power potential.

KBs are nice but... a vortech would kill a KB in 1/4 run
Are you sure about that?
not just vortech any big centri....it's a fact but kb's have other advantages that's been pointed out

i'm only 22 and i made 65k this year and next year i'll make 100k and 100k would be nice, but even 65k didn't cut it for me just because i already own my own home and three cars, phone bill, direct tv etc. So yes the fact that he lives with mommy and daddy is great because if i still lived with my parents i would have a porsche carrera gt by now.
what do you do and where do you work. you say you're going to make and extra 35 grand next year... im thinking BS but i would like to know where to send my application. im 24 and i thought i'm swimming in it making what you make now as an accountant. im about to start working on my masters in finance. thanks in advance

I'm leaning towards a vortech, could you purchase the aftercooler say a couple months after you buy the supercharger?? And how much are they??

you can buy the aftercooler whenever you want to... even years down the road.... i think the aftercooler kit is about 1k.... an aftercooler is way better than intercooled... its got less loss of boost and lag than a procharger setup would im guessing.. unless the turbine is bigger in the procharger to flow more air, faster. but i would still guess the air going into the motor on a aftercooled vortech is cooler than air coming in from a intercooled procharger.

I was looking into the KB myself and have a few questions. I was looking at the 1.7 model as I would run it on a stock engine and not go above 9 lbs of boost. What are the best sites to buy the supercharger from and is the 1.7 the best model for what I am looking for? Thanks for the help.
