Default Pulleys on a Vert?

Is ok to put underdrive pulleys on a vert, Someone told me that you shouldn't because of the extra power the top uses. Also do you guys have any input on bbk pullies, are they any good, and are they hard to install?

Don't know about your question about using them on a vert. But I have never heard anybody here complain about problems. I would assume since it requires a lot of power for a short time you would be ok, but don't quote me on that.

And don't get the BBK's, they are piggybacks. Go for Steedas.

Wait, or check eBay. I stole mine off of eBay for $70 shipped. I don't think I will ever gat a better mod/HP to dollar ratio.

I have MAC's. I've had no problems with them. It's just that they didn't give the full power that a Steeda or BBK would have. My gas milage was a lot better with them, but there was only a little noticable difference in power with them... [:@] They were only $100, you get what you pay for I guess...

Vert top only uses power when going up or down. Should not be a problem for underdrive pulleys.

Exactly, and you have to have the parking brake engaged anyways so if it feels like it is lacking enough power just rev the car up a little. But I never even noticed a difference when putting the top up or down.
