Default 99 FORD Mustang GT Vortech Supercharger

What's up fellas,

I have a 99 ford Mustang with a Vortech supercharger. My engine has blown out on me. The Mechanic said it was directly related to the Supercharger. He also said I should have never added a charger on that engine, because that specific cannot handle that much power. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem with their Supercharged Mustang? I have to spend 5000.00 on a new engine. I don't want to add the charger back to the new engine if this a known problem. Any advice would be really helpful Thanks

1. that is total bull****. It might have had a bad tune, or you might have ran too much boost, but tons of people run blowers with no problem.

2. DON'T pay 5K for a stock engine. DON't take it to ford to get it fixed either. They are raping you on the price.

Hell, 5k would set you up with a nice aftermarket setup.

Where are you located? Maybe someone on here can set you up with a good mustang shop in your area.

I'd rather have a 5.0 stroker shortblock then a stock 4v. That's just me. Because hes already got the s/c...so if he gets a forged bottom end, he is ready to make ****loads of power! And....having a 5.0Liter shortblock would be super badass too. TORQUE!

I live in Oakland Ca, I searched for engines at lower cost, but they were used engines. Ford offered me an engine for 3500.00, but I have to trade in my old engine... If you know of any good shops in my area, Please let me know.

Thanks
