Default Convertible Top Overide??

Is there a way that I can overide lifting the e-break to put the vert top up and down? I think it is a pain I would like to just hit the button and put it up and down.

My 5.0 didn't have one either, I pop it once on the highway. Thought the thing was going to rip off.

yea.... i wont pop the top off unless im doin 30 or less... i dont want to bend anything with it.... just pull the ebrake up to 1 click and the top will be able to be put down while driving.. i do this all the time when im in slow moving traffic too..

I have a 99 vert and i feel where you're coming from but you might want to think twice because its like that for a reason. I mean just think if you or someone else accidently pressed that button thats gonna lead to nothin but trouble. I have seen far too many verts with a hump roof also and i think it might be from hitting the switch while in motion. Just something you may want to consider. But to answer your ? i dont know if it can be done.

i think the guys at ford made it like that for a reason, because someone would eventually try to put the top down at 90 mph then go back to the dealer crying for a new top because the old one tore off
