I'm accustomed to spending only what I need, aka maintenance and repair. ::sigh::

I need to go plant those money tree seeds...

There's this big hot heavy metal thing located in the front of my car. I got rid of that and the car was MUCH lighter, didn't seem as fast though....

But in all seriousness, how much lighter are those aluminum driveshafts? And what about a CF/Fiberglass hood/aluminum(do they make these)hood? I lifted the hood on my friend's 05GT and it was MUCH ligher than mine. Somethin to look into. It might be expensive after paint but you can get more of a custom look so you are paying for more than a lighter hood.... Somethin to consider...

www.rsdcustoms.com

Never dealt with the company and no nothing about the quality of the product, but it looks pretty cool and there are a few designs to choose from. Just a thought.

WEIGHT COMPARISON:

Stock Driveshaft 20 lbs
Aluminum Driveshaft 14 lbs
Carbon Fiber Driveshaft 11 lbs

got the information here. i think the weights are a little off, stock i think is 22, aluminum is 14-16 depending on brand, and carbon fiber is 10 -13 depending on if it has the aluminum spindles or steel
http://www.stangpro.com/html/articles/driveshaft.htm

stock hood is about 40
fiberglass is about 20
fiberglass hood - no clue but would guess 15.

aluminum flywheel when you do a clutch change.

weld 15" wheels, rear seat delete, race seats up front. k member, control arms.

can you get rid of the traction control module thing up near the raditor?

Lastly there is always the driver diet.

edit: changed the weight of the stock driveshaft, wasnt thinking and typed the same as the websites info

yea... but im figuring in weight from the blower... say about 80lbs... subframe connectors.... like 50lbs..... wider tires and rims.... 10lbs more?..... and the light bar that i have.... i think like 40 lbs.... so i just averaged it to 3600lbs.

ive gotta put the car on a scale to see what she weighs.... ive been thinkin of going to a truck scale near by here to see what she is at...
